Obituary of Leonid Kupis

Leonid Kupis, age 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Leonid was born May 4, 1942 in Olgopol, Ukraine. He is the son of the late Vladimir and the late Manya (Bucher) Kupis. He married Sofia Zaslavsky on September 14, 1968 in Odessa, Ukraine. He was educated as an electrical engineer, and spent his life working as a general contractor, owning European Concepts Home Improvement in New York. He retired four years ago; his hobbies included watching TV and going to the movies, eating good food, spending time with friends and family, but his true joy was his wife Sofia. He was a member at Temple Sinai; he enjoyed going to Schul. He was an extremely strong person and he could fix anything. He taught his sons to work on cars, their schoolwork, took them to boy scouts; he was a mentor. He was a funny person, and had great stories and sayings. He had a unique sense of humor. He was well loved. He is survived by his wife Sofia; son, Felix and his wife Xiao Jiang; son Ken; granddaughter Fiona and her husband Connor; and great grandchildren, twins, Collin and Clayton. Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, February 8 at Bunker's Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV.
