We were also neighbors or Neil in Wisconsin and I always thought of Neil as a very loving and compassionate man. That being said he could also take care of business . if needed. He never looked for a fight or an argument, but sometimes a fight looked for him. I remember Neil taking on two men half his age. I dont know what their beef was, and neither did Neil. Once they figured out this wasn't your typical senior citizen they jumped in their car and peeled out of the lot. Neil would probably cringe if he knew I referred to him as a senior citizen. He took pride in his appearance. His clothes were always pristine even when doing yard work at the lake, and he belonged to a health club in Las Vegas, and talked about the comradery between friends he had there. Neil had a lot of friends. He would stop to see old friends when driving back to Las Vegas. Neil was one of those men who knew somebody every place he went, and if he didn't people were naturally drawn to him because of his everlasting smile and infectious laugh.

It is hard to know what to say at times like this, but I just wanted you to know that your dad was a great man.

Uncle Neil was my God Father and from a little girl to an adult he always made me laugh and had a huge bear hug to give. I knew if I needed him he would be there. I have wonderful memories of him and will miss him very much.
