Obituary of Stella Celine Alires-Maletych

Stella Celine Alires-Maletych, 54, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019. A native to Nevada, Stella was born May 2, 1965 in Henderson, NV, and graduated from Chaparral High School. She is the daughter of Jerome and Lucy (Gonzales) Alires. She worked at the Freemont Hotel for 12 years, and more recently as a Pharmaceutical Consultant for Medco Pharmaceutical Company for 13 years. She is survived by her husband Mark Maletych; her father Jerome and mother Lucy Ann Alires; her daughter Jessica (Danny Florio) Neal-Alires; her sister Angelica (John) Congro; her niece Alena (Xavier) Gutierrez; her two great nephews Caleb and Santino Gutierrez. Stella enjoyed making others laugh, and especially enjoyed crocheting afghans, and giving her blankets to friends and family. She enjoyed watching movies. Stella is predeceased by her brother Andrew Alires. Burial will be at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
