Obituary of Charles Alan Treadwell

Charles Alan Treadwell passed away on November 25, 2020 in Henderson, Nevada. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 4 at Kaysville City Cemetery.

As seen through the eyes of his family, "Charlie" (or "Chuck" to his family) had a strong spirit that was loving and passionate. He had a creative mind, was witty, and was considered by others to be “wicked smart." His younger siblings lovingly recall their elder brother as a "handful" but also that he was always kind to them and quick to tell them that he was proud of them, and that he always followed through with his word. They felt lucky to have a strong and protective role model. As a teen, Charlie had a love of cars and was always seen with his head underneath the hood of a car, whether his own or the neighbor's. With a brilliant mind and pure determination, he ultimately steered himself into his life-long career of designing and building custom cars, as well as drag racing whenever occasion permitted; thus he was able to "play while on the job" and enjoy his hobby of racing.

His kids recall spending several hours on the race track watching him race as they cheered him on from the stands. They view their father as a hardworking man with a fun sense of humor (and as having an odd resemblance to Willie Nelson). In his free time, Charlie enjoyed camping, fishing, and taking his family on long road trips. Like the cars he built and raced, he lived “fast and furious” doing what he loved, accompanied by those he loved and who loved him.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father Bill, his half-brother Bill, his sister Kim, and his daughter Charlin. He is survived by his partner Tammie; his children Lisa, Nikilyn, Khami, Adam, Carl, and step-daughter Lorelei; his 20 grandchildren; his siblings Bob, Sandy, Steve, Jennifer, and Chris; and his mother Betty.

Charlie's family wishes to extend sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses, caregivers, and provider organizations that oversaw his care.
