Obituary of Emily M Tong

Emily Man Tong, age 62, of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday May 4th 2021. Emily was born on August 28th 1959 in Hong Kong to parents Pak Ko Tong and the late Nora Wong. She is survived by her partner Irene Shen, her father Pak Ko Tong, her brother Edward Tong (spouse Hana Tong), her sister Delphine Tang, her brothers Douglas Wong and Darwin Wong (spouse Marisa Wong). Emily grew up in Shanghai, China and Hong Kong before she immigrated to the United States. She attended Orange Coast Community College and later transferred to and graduated with honors from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management 1995. Early in her career, she worked at various hotels and casinos in Lake Tahoe including Caesars Tahoe. Later, she moved to Las Vegas and worked at Caesars Palace and Golden Nugget. Recently, she was employed as an insurance agent. Emily enjoyed good food and socializing with friends. She was remembered by her friends as a happy go lucky person, always wore a smile and her life was filled with laughter. Emily was kind and always willing to help others in times of needs. Emily's favorite past time was trying her luck at the casinos. She was a football fan; the Cowboys and the 49ers were her favorite teams. Emily's interment will be at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A memorial service in Emily's honor and the burial will be held at a later date.
