Devin Phillips

Obituary of Devin Douglas Phillips

It is with a heavy heart and tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet son Devin Douglas Phillips on September 27, 2021. He was born on a beautiful day, May 19th, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from Coronado High School in Henderson in May of 2015 and went on to attend the University of Nevada, Reno where he graduated in May of 2020.  He went right to work for the family business as a Salesman for Construction Sealants & Supply and had become his Dad’s right hand man, learning all aspects of the business.

Devin was an avid sports fan and thrill seeker, but he especially liked football and could talk stats and players with anyone. He was also a lifelong Denver Bronco & New York Yankee fan as well. He loved driving his new razor and had taken several trips with the family centered around razor riding. Devin also loved to golf and spent many hours at Dragonridge with his dad and buddies in addition to golfing at beautiful courses around the country while traveling. Devin inherited a love of travel from his Mom. He also loved to attend sports events, hit the beach and surf the ocean waves, but he really loved his family and spending time with them. Nothing was more important to our Sweet Devin than his family and friends.

To know Devin was to love him. He was a big teddy bear with a heart of gold, always with a kind word for his loved ones and friends. One of the best parts about his personality was his witty sense of humor, the boy could make you laugh and will continue to do so for years to come. He was a bright spot in this world and he will be missed terribly. Our hearts are broken.

Devin is survived by his parents Jayme and Tyler Phillips; his brothers Aleksandr (26), Dakota (21) and Tanner (18); his grandparents Fran and Vern Phillips; Aunt Julie and Uncle Erik Moreno, Aunt Darlene and Uncle Breck Phillips, Cousins Gavin and Morgan Moreno and Kaycee Allen and Karee Moore and her daughter Emma. Preceeded in Death by his Grandpa William Douglas Sears whom he was named after, Grandma Ardeen Sears and Aunts Gaylen Moore and Karen DeJoria. Funeral services will be held this Saturday, October 2, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1500 Amador Lane, Henderson, NV.
