Obituary of Helene Rita Sussman

Helene R. Sussman, 78, of Las Vegas, passed away April 29, 2009. She was a 6 year resident of Las Vegas. Formerly of South Euclid, OH, she retired after 27 years as a Perceptual-Motor specialist in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School System having positively impacting hundreds of young children and children with special needs. Helene was a member, volunteer and leader of numerous Jewish and community organizations. Among her many interests were travel and competitive ballroom dancing. Her zest for life, her love of nature and her strong sense of family were an inspiration for many. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harold; her children Carl of Seattle; Laura (Wendy) of Las Vegas; Janet of Cleveland; and Lenny (Margie) of Phoenix; and 5 granddaughters, Bethany, Erica, Elyse, Leah and Emma. Funeral Service will be Monday, May 4 at 8:00AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City, NV. Donations in her memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or an organization of your choice.
