If you have a certain budget in mind for cremation services in Las Vegas, NV, whether you are planning for yourself in advance, or you are planning for a loved one who has passed away, you have a lot of things to cover with the amount of money you want to spend. One important item that you will need to cover is the urn for the cremated remains. Keep in mind that when you choose a cremation package, it will automatically come with a simple container for the ashes. You can certainly use that, if you wish. But if you want something different for yourself of your loved one, you will have to purchase an urn. Once you cover as much as you can, you have to get the urn with what’s left over, which might not be much. Here are some ideas for budget-friendly urns.

Pottery Options

Pottery can be lovely and it’s inexpensive and durable at the same time. Pottery pieces are easy to customize, and you can choose actual urns or something completely different to hold the ashes of your loved one. You can even make your own pottery items, if you wish. There are endless options and whatever you choose can honor your loved one very easily.

Wooden Boxes

As long as the wooden box is a good size, any wooden box can become an urn, if you wish. They are also an affordable option if you are looking for something new. You can have something custom made if you want to spend a little more. But there are tons of wooden box options already on the market that can be very nice for your loved one’s remains.

Copper Urns

Copper is an affordable material and is highly durable and attractive as well. You can personalize or engrave copper, or just leave it in its shape. You can get ready to order copper containers and use them as urns or you can even look at antique stores for pots that you can use as an urn.

Cardboard Choices

You won’t wat to keep a cardboard urn forever, but if you intend to scatter your loved one’s ashes, bury them, or place them in the sea, having a cardboard option makes good sense. The choice is biodegradable and can distribute your loved one’s ashes in a natural way.

If you need help with the urn portion of cremation services in Las Vegas, NV, the professionals at Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services can help. We can show you budget-friendly options and help to steer you towards things that will meet your needs and preferences. While we have lots of options, you don’t have to purchase an urn from us.
