I was a co-worker of Brett's at Lochsa and I just want to express my most sincere sympathies to you and the family during this difficult time. Your husband (my friend/coworker) was a highly valuable and respected member of our team here and the effects of his passing are already being felt here by his fellow employees and management. Brett was a wonderful employee who understood the meaning of the word "team." He was always more focused on the good of the company and the department than on his own benefit. He has made many great contributions to the company and helped it move forward in numerous ways. The last 6 months I have had the pleasure to really get to know him since we started doing more and more projects together. Just an amazing person. Miss him a lot already. Just doesn't feel the same, but i know he would want us to keep chugging along. His work here will not soon be forgotten.
Please accept my sincere condolences for you and the family. Brett was a remarkable man and everyone at LOCHSA is better for having known him. For those of us that had the privilege of working with him at work, we were humbled by his kindness and compassion to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed and everyone here is saddened by his death. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and his family and friends during this difficult time.
With sincere sympathy,
Chris Blake

We both knew Brett from our assignment at Nellis, AFB. We deployed with him to all the garden spots--Haiti, Cuba, Turks and Cacaos. Brett was a whiz kid with both a surveying instrument as well as a weapon and had a wicked sense of humor. He would do anything that was asked of him and do it well. He'll be missed.

Got to know Brett well on deployments to Haiti and Guyana. A great guy and a great
patriot. Was able to spend time with Brett at the RED HORSE reunion in Vegas in 2013. We laughed together and relived some old military times. Will miss you my friend.
