Gloria was a wonderful woman, human being and magnificent soul.
I met her when I was 16 years old and stayed living with her and the whole family as an exchange student coming from Brazil, in Telford, PA, being a student at Souderton High School.
We connected right away and I began calling her MOM, as I did until today, 46 years later and when I went to see her a few months ago in Vegas and when she couldn’t talk anymore but she recognized me and talked to me through her eyes. Marlene was with me.
I lost my Mom...
We stayed connected during this 46 years, not talking everyday but talking often and Mom and Tom went to visit and stayed with me in Rio, Brazil as well as I went to see her and Tom many times in Chicago and then in Vegas. What a pleasure to try in a few hours to update her about my whole life...or spend 1 hour in a phone call once in a while.
And she always gave me so much love, care and attention.
Mom taught me a lot and treated me really like her oldest son.
Im very grateful to have been able to share all the minutes and moments I did with her in Telford, Brazil, Chicago and Vegas and if I would be born again and could choose 1 thing again from my previous life, that would be to be able to be again Mom’s exchange student and oldest son.
My deepest condolences to Tom, to whom I still talk to and I will continue calling often, to Marlene, Jeanette and Elliot.
