Tom was my unofficial goalie coach when we played at Mepham (he started, I warmed the bench). He was great at showing me the intricacies of the position and taught me a lot, which I continue to use whenever I play lacrosse. I still incorporate his advice and drills (especially the turn drill and blocking shots with an unstrung head drill) when I coach new goalies in Medellin, Colombia, and when I was briefly coaching local high school goalies. Tom knew more about how to play the position than any coach I've encountered in my lacrosse career, including college and various clubs. He'll always be fondly remembered. Thanks Tom, for helping me along my 45+ year lacrosse journey.
